It's not that I don't believe in God

Nor that I distrust Him.

It's his people, who

believing themselves to be immortal

• and sanctified

Also believe themselves infallible.

They wouldn't admit it

Humble as they are

They confess their guilt

And are no longer condemned.

Freedom is a wonderful

attribute

As long as it doesn't tie you down.

I would prefer to be always

guilty, always able to

admit I am wrong 

And then be free.
